Our Woodland Sanctuary

This is soo exciting! Our mission is to protect what we can in our little 4.5 acre area in Hartwell by creating a habitat that encourages small wildlife, deer, bees, butterflies, song birds,  pollinators, etc. We offer clean air, fresh water, healthy foods and educational information to the public as we hope to help bring natural balance to our little part of the world for 'mind, body and planet'. Trees are another major love or ours and are members of the Arbor Day Foundation, thus Woodland Sancturay.

Biomimicry, or biomimetics, is the practice of learning from and imitating nature's designs and processes to solve human problems. It involves observing the strategies that plants, animals, and fungi have evolved to thrive and then applying those strategies to human technologies, design, and systems. Nature has the Answer!

As a child, I grew up in Atlanta with my Mum seriously gardening, eating organic fresh vegetables, playing outdoors until dark and being healthy and carefree. I became a licensed Esthetician in Atlanta and discovered a more natural way of Life is better for our bodies, minds, spirits and the Planet. Some of Mum's last words were "work with Earth" ... wonder what she saw on the other side?
